Bryan Comparative Dollars

These medals originated with the Presidential campaigns of 1896 and 1900.

They showed the comparative size and ratio of the Silver Dollar at the then current
price of silver versus what it would be like if free coinage were to rule.

This was the big issue in the presidential campaigns of the day.

I'm  not sure which side of the conflict the coiners were on.
If you have this figured out, please explain it to me.

Hilber & Kappan list the most common of these, Z-5 & Z-6, as "very scarce", 250 - 500 pieces.

Regardless of the politics, the comparative pieces, Z-5, Z-3, Z-8 and Z-14 are impressive looking
souvenirs of this period. Z-5 remains available at a modest price considering its scarcity.
